Ville d'Uriage in bloom - Marie El Hajal While all seasons have their charm at Uriage-les-Bains, spring offers a rare combination: thermal treatments in a sunny setting, a generous natural environment, and precious calm before the summer rush.

Ville Uriage 29092025 Marie El Hajal 34From the end of March, the thermal park is decked out in flowers and the Isère forests show their first shades of bright green: walks between treatment sessions take on a particularly rejuvenating dimension. And it’s not just nature that invites you to take it easy: thanks to its moderate altitude of 420 metres and the surrounding wooded massifs, Uriage-les-Bains enjoys a temperate, soothing climate in spring, far from the rigours of winter or the sometimes oppressive heat of summer. A rare balance, ideal for allowing the body to recover fully.
It’s also the time of year when the resort gets back to normal. The spa opens on 30 March and the first visitors enjoy a more serene atmosphere, with more treatments available, less waiting and that precious feeling of being truly welcomed. Finally, after the winter months, the body naturally yearns to regenerate itself: the spring cure accompanies this seasonal transition with kindness, helping to relieve joint pain, soothe weakened skin and boost vital energy. An appointment with yourself, at the right time.
Uriage thermal spring water is unique: born in the heart of the Alps, it gushes out at 27°C, naturally rich in minerals, trace elements, sulphates, chlorides and sodium. Its soothing, healing and anti-inflammatory properties make it one of the most valuable active ingredients in French spa therapy.
The Centre Thermal Thérapeutique offers several formulas adapted to your situation, with or without a doctor’s prescription.
On medical prescription, covered by Social Security. Indicated for rheumatology, dermatology, ENT and oral-lingual disorders. Care supervised by health professionals.

As well as thermal cures, Uriage is home to a large number of well-being service providers and specialists in energy treatments. If you’d like to round off your stay or just relax, this is the option for you.
Two heated thermal pools, saunas, steam room, outdoor jacuzzi. Open to spa guests and external visitors all year round.
Whether you prefer the cocoon of a flat, the comfort of a hotel or the friendliness of a bed and breakfast, Uriage-les-Bains and the surrounding area offer a wide range of accommodation to make your stay as relaxing as your treatments.
Several hotels in Uriage welcome you within a stone’s throw of the spa centre. Some offer direct access to the spa, spa packages and services designed to optimise your rest between sessions.
What’s more, a number of furnished rental properties are available in the immediate vicinity of the thermal baths, ideal for 3-week cures. Cook at your own pace and enjoy a balcony with a view of the mountains: the perfect combination to round off your relaxing break.

The spa treatment usually takes up the morning. In the afternoon, the diversity of Uriage-les-Bains awaits you. Uriage-les-Bains offers six signposted trails starting from the resort, ranging from 1? to 5 hours’ walk, where waterfalls swollen by melting snow and Alpine panoramas follow one another along the paths. A stone’s throw away, the Luitel nature reserve – the oldest in France, listed since 1948 – reveals its peat bogs and carnivorous plants in spring, in a rare silence. For those attracted by the region’s heritage, the Château d’Uriage and its park with its century-old trees are perfect for a post-nursing stroll, while Grenoble, just ten minutes away by car, boasts museums, the Bastille and lively terraces. Gastronomy is not to be outdone: sheep’s tome, seasonal vegetables and home-made herbal teas are the embodiment of genuine mountain cuisine from local producers. And for the more active, golf, horse-riding, paragliding and mountain biking complete a range of leisure activities as wide-ranging as the landscape.
Uriage Landscape Castle and Forest - Marie El HajalYou can’t improvise a spa treatment, especially when it’s covered by an agreement. Here’s the ideal guide to organising your stay at Uriage-les-Bains with complete peace of mind.
It all starts with your GP. A doctor’s prescription is essential for a health cure that is covered by the social security system. He or she will determine your therapeutic orientation: rheumatology, dermatology, respiratory tract or oral-lingual disorders. Once you have your prescription, send your file to your CPAM without delay: processing times can take several weeks.
Once you have received approval, book your accommodation and dates of treatment. Accommodation close to the spa is very popular at the start of the season, so it’s best to plan ahead at least 3 months in advance. When it comes to luggage, make sure you’ re comfortable first and foremost: swimming costume, bathrobe, walking shoes for walks between sessions, and something to keep you busy in the afternoons. And once you’re there? Let yourself be carried away. The cure requires you to accept that you need to slow down, sleep more and make no ambitious plans. This is often where the real benefits begin.
