Cycling tours in Uriage-les-Bains

Starting right in the heart of the spa, this loop takes you to discover two of the region’s iconic châteaux: Uriage and Vizille, around ten kilometres away.

The route alternates between quiet back roads, forest tracks and hillside paths. An accessible route that combines the pleasure of cycling with the richness of the local landscape…

The route starts in the immediate vicinity of the Parc d’Uriage. You’ll soon leave the main roads behind to cycle along woods, through the countryside and along quiet paths at the foot of the hill. The route takes you to the gates of Vizille along quiet lanes, bypassing urban areas. You arrive at the Place du Château, in the heart of the historic centre.

On the return journey, the route is even more bucolic. You’ll skirt a pond, pass by a riding school and cross Vaulnaveys-le-Bas. The Promenade des Noyers and then the Promenade de la Mondée take you gently back to Uriage, alternating between rural paths, narrow lanes and unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside.
